Jingyi Han, a performing pianist, was granted 1st prize for the Mozart Variation Competition during her studies in the Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and was awarded as the Chopin Mazurka Competition winner during her undergraduate studies in piano performance at the New England Conservatory of Music under the supervision of Gabriel Chodos. She completed her masters degree in piano performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the supervision of Ms. Haesun Paik. Jingyi additionally finished another masters degree in piano pedagogy at the Michigan State University under Dr. Derek Polischuk.

As a teacher, Jingyi has been teaching for several years in both online and in-person formats. She developed a patient and cheerful teaching style while working in a bilingual kindergarten in China. Jingyi was also a private piano instructor at The Roth academy of music in Grand Ledge. She enjoys innovation and loves to experiment with a variety of teaching methods. She is known for her inspiring, patient, and thought-provoking concepts. Jingyi brings her unique ideas about how music should serve and fulfill people’s daily life. She is an ABD (all but dissertation) doctorate student at the Michigan State University under the chair of the piano department, Deborah Moriarty.
