Aaron Olinger began playing piano at the age of 13 being motivated by learning music from various unconventional sources including video games and movies! Being taught by various teachers fostering his unique motivation, Aaron found a love for the piano as well as love for fostering the unique motivations in his students. Aaron believes that every student can learn the piano while having fun!
Aaron is a graduate of the University of West Georgia where he earned a B.A. in piano performance, with an emphasis in piano pedagogy under Dr. Carol Gingerich. He has five years of teaching experience teaching children of various ages, skill levels, and nationalities.
During his time at the university of West Georgia, Aaron served as served as a faculty member at the Piano Project at The University of West Georgia where he taught a number of students varying tremendously in age, skill level, and musical backgrounds. Aaron also enjoys composing and performing; Before his time at the University of West Georgia, Aaron won the Carroll county young composer competition in 2012. Aaron has performed and consistently placed competitively at MTNA’s yearly piano competition. Aaron also has enjoyed playing in many rock bands and worship groups throughout his learning career, and recognizes the importance of learning and enjoying piano in the midst of friends!
Aaron is dedicated to creating a fun and interactive learning environment for each of his students so that every student can find something to learn and love about the piano with lesson plans that cater to each students learning style and motivations.
